In Zungen was mainly composed in 2019. This composition was requested by accordionist Marko Kassl who provided expert advice and enthusiastic experimentation during numerous working sessions, mostly held on the internet. He also provided lots of recordings with which I could work. Without his help this piece wouldn’t have been possible.

For the live electronics, a computer program is required which I have been developing for many years. This program includes several real-time sound processing modules which process the sounds recorded from the playing of the performer in various ways. Playing back the processed material through a surround sound system allows spatial movements of the sounds.

In Zungen was premiered by Marko Kassl at the festival FRAKZIONEN in the Zionskirche in Bielefeld on 12 January 2020.

In Zungen entstand hauptsächlich im Jahr 2019. Angeregt wurde die Komposition dieses Stücks durch den Akkordeonisten Marko Kassl, der mir in unzähligen Arbeitssitzungen, die hauptsächlich über das Internet abgehalten wurden, mit großer Kompetenz und Experimentierfreude beratend zur Seite stand.
Für die Live-Elektronik wird ein von mir in jahrelanger Arbeit immer wieder weiterentwickeltes Computerprogramm verwendet. Durch verschiedene Klangbearbeitungsmodule, die in dieses Programm integriert sind, wird das auf dem Instrument Gespielte in Echtzeit auf vielfältige Weise verarbeitet und über ein Surround-Sound-System abgespielt, das auch räumliche Bewegungen der Klänge ermöglicht.

In Zungen wurde am 12. Januar 2020 durch Marko Kassl beim Festival FRAKZIONEN in der Zionskirche Bielefeld uraufgeführt.
